Les vacances, c'est crevant...

L'Ecosse, c'est vraiment fait pour moi.
Je m'explique.

Scotland is really made for me.
Let me explain.
En tant que leonberg, je suis une chienne de mer. Eh bien ce matin, on a marché 500 m pour arriver jusqu'à la plage... Juste en face, l'ile de Skye.. J'ai trempé les pattounes, j'étais trop contente !
As a leonberger, I'm a sea dog. Well, this morning, we walked for 500 metres to get to the beach... Right in front of the Isle of Skye. I've dipped my paws into the water, I was sooo happy !

Et puis les leonbergs, c'est bien connu, ce sont des chiens de montagne aussi !

Alors cet après-midi on a garé la voiture à côté d'un loch - forcément je n'ai pas pu résister...!

And leonbergers, as everyone knows, are also mountain dogs !

So this afternoon we parked our car next to a loch - and of course I couldn't resist!

Et puis mon humain a voulu que l'on fasse la Mountain Trail... On n'a pas croisé grand monde mais quelques personnes ont dit que j'étais "huge" (?) et ont demandé à ma chérie "What breed is it?" J'ai compris quand elle répondait 'leonberger'. Mais bon, ils n'avaient pas l'air de trop connaître les écossais... sauf que j'étais "huge"...!?

On a marché dans la forêt de pin au milieu des bruyères et des myrtilles, c'était extraordinaire...

Then my human wanted us to go up the Mountain Trail. We didn't see many people, but some said I was "huge" ? and asked my Darling "What breed is it"... They didn't quite seem to know what a leonberger was, though. Hey, look at me!

We walked through the pine forest among the heather and the myrtles, it was extraordinary...

J'ai suivi ma petite humaine qui courait comme une Fée des bois, et moi j'étais son animal porte-bonheur, on s'est bien amusées !

I followed my little human who was running like a Wood Fairy, and I was her Lucky animal, we had fun!

Et puis, ça a commencé à monter sérieusement... Et j'ai commencé à sérieusement tirer la langue...

(et ma petite humaine, à râler)

Then it became really steep, and I was getting really tired, like my little human who was getting grumpy

Mais ça montait encore ! Je suis courageuse alors j'ai suivi tout le monde. Mais à un moment ma chérie a dit stop (elle en avait assez je crois d'entendre râler, et elle s'inquiétait pour moi) et mon humain a dit qu'il partait en éclaireur pour voir si c'était encore long. Pendant que la petite mangeait, j'en ai profité, j'ai essayé de me restaurer aussi mais je n'ai pas réussi à lui piquer la moindre miette... :(

It still it was going up ! I'm courageous so I followed them. But after a while, my Darling said stop (I think she was getting bored with Debbie being grumpy and she was getting worried about me) and my human said that he was going sentinel to see if there was much more to walk. While the little one was eating, I tried to take the opportunity for a bite too, but I couldn't get anything...

Finalement on est redescendues toutes les trois car il y a un passage où je ne serais pas passée... (ouf !) La petite galopait pour redescendre, et on en a profité pour faire la Woodland Trail, beaucoup plus sympa à travers la forêt de pins... J'ai rencontré deux copains. Et quand je suis revenue dans la voiture je me suis affalée... En rentrant, j'ai mangé, j'ai dormi... Enfin voilà. Les vacances, c'est crevant.

We eventually walked down, the three of us, because there was a pass I couldn't get through (phew!) The little one was galopping down, and so we did the Woodland Trail, which was much nicer through the pine forest. I met two buddies. And when I got back to the car, I just fell... Coming home, I ate, I slept... Well. Believe me. Holidays are exhausting.

Mais il paraît que demain le planning pour moi c'est repos ! Enfin !!!
